Default Money Script and Family Member Age

I have two questions to the community, both of which have been probably discussed in length ages ago, but I have scoured the past posts and couldn't find exactly what I needed, so...

    1. How do I adjust the money script? I am playing as the Seleucid's, and would like to change the money script to activate at 400K or 500K. My reason for this is that I have found that the Seleucid Empire, unlike other factions, will reach a point fairly quickly when it is making around 100k or more early on (for instance after conquering Egypt and then additional territories), and even that amount of money does not cover many expenses for every turn. I do not see this as cheating because I use up all of the money I am making, and do not aquire millions of denari, which makes the game dull and boring. I want a challenge, but I also feel cheated when I am supposed to make 210,000 Denari the next turn, and I find myself with only half of that, fighting 5 wars simultaneously, trying to build infastructure, and balance taxation. So what do I have to do as the Seleucid's to remove or to re-adjust the amount of money I'm making...

    2. How do I adjust the length of time that all the family members can live? I used to be able to find this in Medieval, but I can't find it for some reason in RS2...I may be just blind or something, but any help would be appreciated. I just want to change the oldest age to 95 or something like that, and make the 'old age' kick in around 60 or 65.

    Thanks so much

(any help will be +rep immediately)

    1. Go to Play_Seleucid/data/scipts/show_me/background_script.txt and search for MONEY MONITOR
scroll down to this entry and change the blued value 280000 but make sure you add another 2-3 lines with
console_command add_money seleucid -40000 to not push it totally off balance
    Attachment 137260

    2. Not sure that this is possible in RTW...

How high can I go with the money script? up to 400K only? or can I go to 500K?

Wait...so what is the importance of adding those 2-3 extra lines? Why would not adding them make something unbalanced, and should I have 2 or 3 lines? As you see I have 2 now, should I have more?

And should I change the 200,000? or just the 280,000?

    monitor_event FactionTurnStart FactionType seleucid
    and Treasury > 280000
    console_command add_money seleucid, -40000
    console_command add_money seleucid, -40000
    end_monitor
    monitor_event FactionTurnStart FactionType seleucid
    and Treasury > 200000
    console_command add_money seleucid, -40000
    end_monitor

Really? Is it hardcoded or something? I've changed it in M2TW, is Rome that different in these basics?

It can't be hardcoded, LOTR-TW uses 100+ years old western übermensch. Maybe you should try there. Also, there is no maximum age, not really. I think that by default there is always a non-zero percent chance your Geriatrix won'd die when the turn ends. I once aged Hanno in vanilla to 117 through creative reloading.

you can eliminate all monitors related to Seleucid and paste this one instead...
Its probably what you looking for

    monitor_event FactionTurnStart FactionType seleucid
    and Treasury > 500000
    console_command add_money seleucid, -40000
    console_command add_money seleucid, -40000
    console_command add_money seleucid, -40000
    console_command add_money seleucid, -40000
    console_command add_money seleucid, -40000
    end_monitor

This will kick in and take 200.000 away when your end treasury is over 500.000. ...simple and effective

Let us know, either Chris10 or myself via PM when you do find a happy medium that allows a challenge but still gives you a nice campaign. We can then add that to the next patch.

Here is a money Script solution without editing the script. It's pretty easy, just use building construction as a bank. I currently have about 4 million denarii in my roman campaign right now. It's 624 AUC and i'm making about 200k per turn. I am building in each one of my territories and at the end of each turn I just max out my building queries with high priced buildings (mostly in Italy, but I've had to expand outside as well). This keeps my FM and generals more honest (reducing corruption) by having as little as possible in the bank at the end of each turn. If I need money I just cancel a few buildings and I am loaded.
