    Default Siqilli Ghulams

    hi all!!

    actually i'm on darkage campaign playng with italians, sieging oristano terrae nullis faction city.

    Well, everything fine and funny, especially unit's skin...well done

    The only thing is that there should be an error with Siqilli Ghulams textures. I mean horse is fine, but the horsemen looks just like all yellow illuminated...like a marvel heroe which i cannot remember tha name

    Siqilli Faris, of memory...

    The rebels or your faction have this Horsemen in battle?
    Its just a small problem^^, ugly certainly but we could resolve that.
    I think I had also this problem, a long time ago, but I had simply replaced this Faris by the BC models...
    If someone could post here the sample about the Siqilli Faris from the Battle_models, I could solve that..

    If the rebels have this Faris while this Oristano Battle:

    The syntax will be the same, just unit are some differents.

    Hi guys!! thanks both for the reply

    @rus_bey: as i wrote above the unit is named siqilli ghulams not faris even if i noticed that these ghulams in game are horsearchers like faris. anyway i took a look into battle_models ( my first time in tryng to deal with models ) and slaves seems to be in ghulams already. For curiosity i have whatched faris too and i saw that this time ther's no slave faction for them till upg1. So i tried to add the missing part but than the game couldn't lunch. So it must be something else i guess...or i don't know..is there any error with the unit's name in game??

    @SicilianVespers: downloaded and installed correctly all the three links from the release tread ( Chivalry II : SV 3.3 Release + Download)
    I know it's just a little issue but i'm a perfectionist ( this is my damnation ahahaha...some times i spent more time in fixing, or modding than to the game itself aahah )

    By the way, this is not an urgent issue so if u guys don't have time don't warry about it, i can even wait to the next release to see that fixed or in the meantime any quick suggestion is barely accepted as always

    sorry lol, but its the same matter anyway, about the defect of assignation in Battle_Models file.
    Faris are horsearchers, and Ghulam are medium/strong lancers, or something?
    My files are heavily modified, I don't remember for every unit...etc.
    just back up your original file(Battle_Models file), and try after. If you have CTD when launching, its caused by the non respect of the synthax.
    In this case ,replace the modified by the original and re-try...
    Hope your understand, its easy just that need some prudence and patience^^

    i mean the weird thing is that they're named siqilli ghulams but at last they're horseatchers like siqilli faris...soo do u may think that there's should be some error somewhere else???

    certainly, but really I had resolved this problems a one year ago, its hard for me to remember of each problem according such unit...You need to test all campaign/all faction lol.

    For the non existant(CTD when launching battle), just copy one existant, and rename this texture or mesh.
    good luck and back up in sure guard ever before every modification, just I said that for your karma^^...

    hi there

    tried again for curiosity ...but obviousley with no success as last night...i mean i don't think it makes 100% sense...cause , as i wrote above, we're not talking about a unit which is named siqilli faris and which has a missing texture...we're talking about a unit which seems to have missing texture but is named siqilli ghulams and in the meantime is a siqilli faris so the problem must be somewhere else or divided in more than one file or folder...

    Anywya thanks again Rus_bay even if it couldn't really solve this problem, now i know something more

    Who have the Siqilli Faris/Ghulam in your game, you or Terra Nullius(slave rebels)?

    three files are needed to resolve your problem:

    SicilianVespers\data\export_descr_unit file(stats, upgrade, technic name of your unit)
    SicilianVespers\data\text\export_units_early file: technic name and the name who appear in game
    And the Battles_models to give such texture for such unit, as you know.

    all the following names concern your problem:
    Sicilian_Muslim_Horsearchers(export_units but also the export_descr_unit)
    sicilian_muslim_faris, sicilian_muslim_faris_ug1(export_descr_unit, but also Battles_models)

    I think you have the weapons to fight your problem^^

    by the way, as i wrote above, we're talking about siqilli ghulams so i have no idea cause i saw it in game but than not in descr_unit ext as i checked yesterday already. checked now descr_unit early but nothing......so i have no fuc*** idea

    well i didn't look for in the right path...i just didn't read well

    btw, i found these sicilian archers named wrongly ( i guess) siqilli ghulams in just in the ..../txt/export units files and nowhere else...do u think the we found the matter and i just need to change the name in siqilli faris into these files to make it work?? mmm...
