    Default Question on export_buildings

    Hello, I can't seem to find guides on this issue on the board...


    Anyway, my question is this, I know that you can make the same building have different description VIA culture, but can it go further down? like faction? for example if these 2 faction (say England and Scotland) using the same building, but if I want the description of the building to look different... can I do for example

    ...

    instead of

    {school_middle_eastern}Madrasa
    {school_middle_eastern_desc}xxx
    {school_middle_eastern_desc_short}Allows for characters to gain a basic education for their culture.
    {school_northern_european}School
    {school_northern_european_desc}xxxx
    {school_northern_european_desc_short}Allows for characters to gain a basic education for their culture.


    I go for...

    {school_scotland}Madrasa
    {school_scotland_desc} xxx
    {school_scotland_desc_short}Allows for characters to gain a basic education for their culture.
    {school_england}School
    {school_england_desc} xxx
    {school_england_desc_short}Allows for characters to gain a basic education for their culture.

    Would something like this work?

    It doesn't work like that in export_units, I know that much. I suggest you try it and see what it says in the log.

    I use it in my mod for ages now.
    Where was this discussion earlier i don't recall it otherwise i would've told so.

    Because buidings are culture specific, not faction specific.

    Yes gracul is right building descriptions can be faction specific.

    Yes its possible to have faction specific building descriptions, at least it was in RTW and although I haven't tried it, it seems kinda silly for them to have changed that bit of the engine.
