Default Revolution, do you support the Rebels of a People!

With the current rebellions in Egypt, and possible future rebellions I can see growing in current countries like Greece, Italy, England and even the US.

So, I believe this community represents a wide variety of people around the world, so I would like to know what sort of people we have when it comes to rebellions and then full fledged revolutions.

Would in theory, if your government caused something to cause rebellion in the streets, if the idea spread of it becoming a revolution, would you agree to it, or disagree, and if you agree, would you take part in it physically and join the revolution?

This is a theory I have, and I would like to put it to the test with seeing some numbers, what sort of numbers support a revolution and what sort of numbers would take part!

If the revolution is civilized and non-violent, I might ignore it all together, but if it turned into a full blown bloodbath and war I'd be among those called to suppress it anyway. So no. I wouldn't support it.

If i thought my freedom or my sons was unfairly in jeopardy in any sort of way i would rebel, how far i would depends on the threat. This doesnt have to be riot i mean it can just be a letter to a government official. The only protest i have ever been in was against a proposed Australian internet filter.

To be honest my sister is a protesting leftard and when i ask her and her friends what they are protesting against they have very little information on what ever they are protesting, they seem to do it for a bit of fun and because there social group are doing it.BAAAHHHH

It depends on hte aim of the revolution. Is it bringing about communism or a dictatorship?

Because communist states don't result in dictatorship or oligarchy every time they've ever been instituted?

A revolution here would be undemocratic and probably based on some extremist ideology which I vehemently oppose, so I would oppose the revolution entirely. I'd rather join the loyalists in such a case.

In view of our divine essence, we need only liberty and work; in view of our mortal nature, we need for our direction a guide and a support. A government is not then, as a distinguished economist has said, a necessary ulcer; it is rather the beneficent motive power of all social organisation.

I'd support a revolution if it only targeted the regime. Unfortunately a lot of innocents get caught in the middle.

Hell yeah I would. I'd probably sign up to transfer as an army medic for the revolutionaries.

Unlike the people in Egypt in the countries you wrote the people can just vote for somebody else in next elections.

Seeing how I live in a democracy, I wouldn't support any protesters and I would want to join up some provisional militia to stop the protesters.

I see no point in a revolution right now. Maybe if there were some radical shift in the government towards a totalitarian end I would support one, but it's not right now.

what are you talking about ? Egypt is already dictatorship right now. People is revolting against a tyrant who was in power over 30 years.

What kind of revolution? Some I would, some I wouldn't. This poll does not have that option.
