    Default Requirements for -mod ?

    Hi,
I was curious as to what are the requirements for using the -mod? Meaning, what needs to be in the custom folder? I read a thread around here that said if i use the -mod:<folder> command then it would generate some files for me. So i did that -mod:bm. It made a preferences folder and a save folder. After that, do I need to just copy over the data files i would like to change? So it will read from the bm/data folder if it is there, otherwise it reads from the data/ folder?

The reason I ask is I tried that, and it loads, but if i try to do a custom battle it lets me select units, but when I press start, it goes back to the select unit screen. If I try to click on Imperial Campaign it just pops up a box and says "Select an Item" and I can select OK and it goes back to the main menu. If I click on provincial campaign, it pops up the provincial campaidn screen, and imperial campaign is there, but I can't click on it.

Basically I'm trying to make my personal modifications all reside in the bm/data directory instead of the main data folder, but without the need to copy the entire data folder. if this is not how it works and I need to copy the entire folder, please let me know that too.

    Thanks,
    BrandonM

You don't need the entire data folder. Easiest way is
    1) create bm/DATA directory.
    2) Copy the world folder from RTW/data/world - it may be you don't need all of this but this is the safest way.
    3) create bm/data/text directory and copy in imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt
You should now be in a position to play the imperial campaign via the provincial campaign selection screen.
to set up your own campaign create the new campaign folder and set up the equivlent named text file.
To use the BI.exe (if you have it) then you need to do the amendments I pointed out in my other thread (eg add in the bits from the UI file and amend the descr_standards.txt)
