I have bought it twice, and the disk is scratched again
hy, I think that m2tw is the best of the tw, anyway, I am kind of flustered because the disk no longer works right, and this is the second time I have bought the gold edition, and I am really hessitant to buy it again, it does not seem fair. is there any legal way I can get my game back?

It would depend if the scratching was your fault or your PC or not.

I have done my best, I cant say its perfect, but I have games that are just as badly damaged CD wise and still work fine.

I understand what you are saying Silverheart.
Sounds like if you have other damaged CDs then it is your disc drive, not the CD's manufacturer. I've been playing Red Alert 2 for almost a decade, and the discs are in very good condition. Same goes for my copy of Unreal Tournament.Originally Posted by knight of virtue and valor

Well, you shall never assume that a gamesī CD will function properly when it has been scratched.
Are you certain that your CD-drive registers that the disc is in the drive properly (sorry if Iīm not expressing myself understandably)?

So if someone buys a game off of steam they essentially download the entire game on to their computer, and have no need for a disc?
I should try that, once I get into grad school and thus have the internet bandwidth necessary for the task. I know I stopped playing America's Army when they switched over to a similar (but free) downloading system, instead of allowing direct downloading.
That's off topic. Sounds like you (knight of virtue and valor) need Steam since your disc drive is chewing up your CDs.

Steam is an option some have chosen with success. I still prefer the dvds myself.
