Do you use AGP or PCI-Express?

Do you use AGP or PCI-Express?
AGP, costs more but i find them better
You got them confused, PCI-E is better than AGP, and right now, PCI-E prices are starting to fall under AGP, which means AGP is starting to get replaced.Originally Posted by NailX

How do you upgrade to Pci-e, if your PC does not have slots for them? How much would it cost?
you would need to buy a new motherboard which has PCIe, plus maybe a new processor if the socket is different, plus a new graphics card which is pci-e compatible. if your sound card is pci, you should be able to install it on your new mobo cuz it'll probably have pci slots too.Originally Posted by {nF}remix

I really don't have to money to buy an whole new rig, and frankly I don't realy need it neither. I guess I wait another year or two and then buy a AM2 system when the prices drop a bit.

sorry not upgrading but replacing everything, getting a new comp soon....
I'm using a GEFORCE 6800 GT AGP card. Seems AGP is rapidly becoming obsolete.
I use PCI-E, they are more advanced and are the way of the Future. Besides, my GTX is PCI-E 16x, so yeah.![]()
I use AGP, only because upgrading both my motherboard and graphicscard to PCI-E would be expensive.

The same is valid for me. I am going to upgrade the graphics card and I will try to have an AGP again from this reasons.Originally Posted by Guderian

A PCI-E Motherboard and Graphics card will not cost that much! Besides, PCI-E is much better performance wise than AGP could of ever been. Besides, AGP is outdated. The same is valid for me. I am going to upgrade the graphics card and I will try to have an AGP again from this reasons.
I have my AMD 3400+ here and an AGP (Asus K8V SE DEluxe) board. My ATI Radeon 9600 XT will surely be replaced with MTW2. The only question is whether I will change my board too, because I think that my processor speed is currently allright.

I should hope so - PCI-Express is so much better than AGP! Just look at the benchmarks!
