CD key for online play issue
Help! i cant chage add my cdkey to play online. i tried the option below but i dont see the sega under he software tab. can someone help?
Open Start
Click Run
Type: regedit
Now go to this: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/SEGA/Medieval II Total War"
You should see a value representing the CD-key.

Where did you get the game?
How did you install it?
Which Windows version.

im using windows 7, i bought it(gold edition) in a local store and installed it using the discs. With the use of the cd key.

Then, why do you want to change it?
Unless the key has been jacked, there is no reason to. Where did you get the new key?

you dont understand, when i try to to play online it says cd key invalid. and i need to put the one i have into "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/SEGA/Medieval II Total War" but i can find the Sega folder isnt there under software. i really need to put in my cdkey there to be able to play online.Originally Posted by amadee

Reinstall the game. You need the registry key in there for it to work.
