When I try to start a new campaign, I click start a campaign and the video and loading screen starts, the loading bar fills up and the mouse spins, but when it the loading bar fills up all the way it just sits there and the mouse keeps spinning. It goes on for an undetermined amount of time. The longest was five minutes before I got sick of it and closed the program via Task Manager.
I edited descr_strat, descr_regions, descr_sm_factions, descr_faction_standing, EDB. I deleted the map.rwm, and it generates a new map.rwm every time I delete it. The error log shows nothing because I manually close the game. The last message is
10:52:33.984 [system.io] [warning] open: data/terrain/aerial_map/tile_models/alpha_pages/mountain_mask.tga.dds is missing
Did I do something to cause this, or is it just a matter of waiting for about 10+ minutes for it to finally load and then it will load properly from then on?
EDIT:
I started a new campaign, stepped away from the computer for 15 minutes, came back and it was still loading. I tabbed over to my data\world\maps\base folder, and saw that according to the time, the game generated a new map.rwm the moment I clicked the new campaign button. Then after a minute from tabbing over, a windows message popped up that M2TW encountered an unspecified error. I will post my error log, but it says nothing. Intentional errors in various files will pop up and cause CTD, but when corrected it just goes back to the freezing.
EDIT2:
Forgot to mention that I also edited descr_missions and descr_settlement_mechanics.
EDIT3:
Intentional error in descr_missions does not pop up. What is the order of campaign loading in terms of files? When does the game look to descr_missions, and what files does it look at beforehand?
