I don't know if we want to so openly incite civil war though...but agree with Akrotatos for Hegemon.
I also refuse to SNP Ephor for the 20th year running. I am sorry, but this job has just become really old.
I also PROPOSE that we train units like crazy in Pella, Sparte and Korinthos. It looks like we may be pushed into civil war by the end of the year, as Doros the Athenian is also trying to illegally gain the Strategos position, and so far the Boule is supporting him.

Yeah, but what if we lose? I say that just in case we take preventative measures. By that I mean nonstop training in Pella, Korinthos, and Sparte. Also, if a civil war breaks out, our first move should be to occupy Demetrias. They would not resist us, for they would be neutral.

Strategos Autokrator

The Strategos Autokrator is in charge of the main army of the Alliance. In times of war, this is the most important position in our league of poleis.
The Strategos Autokrator:
-Will have his chances to be elected based on + .
-May command a full army (20 units).
-Gains full command of the Alliance Fleet.
-When elected, will be moved instantly to the army location. The former Strategos will be moved back to his city.
-May not be re-elected or attempt re-election. This leadership rotation preserves the alliance of the cities, so that the army is not a personal one.
-May be elected once again after 4 years (Example: Areus is elected Strategos in 260BC, then cannot be re-elected in 256BC, but may attempt election again in 252BC)
-Should the Strategos die, the current Polemarchos will become Strategos.

Edit: @Molina the org. is down, thought I'd mention that, so that Athenai gets more time to decide upon the canditates for Hegemon and Strategos.

Ah, that must be the reason we have only a few Atheners left in the Athenian Boule. We are in need of dedicated people to join our stupendous city.

We're currently nominating candidates for the Koinon elections. Spartans can choose 1 Spartan FM for the office of Strategos and another Spartan FM to the position of Hegemon.

I have heard much talk of civil war, and illegally nomination Agis as Strategos for the second term in a row, but need I remind you, Men of Sparta, that we are dedicating ourselves to a war with Carthage in the West? Also, fellow Spartans, let me remind you, that if we do this not only will we destroy the Alliance, but we will also remove everything that the Strategos stands for. Apius, my friend, this war against Carthage was your idea, surely you don't want your dreams and ambitions dashed by greedy grasping at authority. Do not grasp for power only to leave yourself with an empty title, Men of Sparta, we have come this far, and narrowly avoided civil war during the days after 1st Demitaras, and we must go on to free all the Hellenic world from its tyrants. We must extend our freedom and democracry from the region of Bosphorus at Etrutia, all the way to the far eastern lands of the Selucids and the Ptolemani. Therefore, I say let us avoid the civil war by giving aid to Athens, by anything they deem approriate..."

He paused letting the uproar batter away at him and during a lull said "However, I understand the disire for our young Prince to be in the field, and while the Strata Spartae Epilektoi remains still just a plan, we have no force fit for his command. And Nikolas subsided, waiting to see what the Councilors say. This day the fate of the Alliance was in the hands of the Spartans.

OCC: If it does come to civil war Molina could you create a third faction of Councilors who never wanted civil war who are trying to reunite the Alliance?

KOINION LAW PROPOSAL: I propose that according to the Zone of Influence law laid down by Arthouros that we create two new positions in the Koinon to see to our expanding needs, and to follow along with this new law. I Propose that we create a position for Strategos in the West, and Strategos in the East. Spartans would run for the West, Athenians for the East. At the same time we would still have a third Strategos, from either city, who will command the Elite Troops of Hellas and can overrule the orders of the Council for the other two Strategoi. Therefore the political position list would look like this...:

The Strategos of Sparta would command the Strata Sparte Epilektoi, the Strategos of Athens, the same, but for Athens. To make this work this would require the recruitment of two new armies, the Spartan and Athenian Elites, but while expensive short term it will be very useful in the long run to be able, as just a polis, to be able to call upon an Elite three-quarter stack to aid you while the Alliance Army is busy somewhere else, and will give an immense amount of muscle power to our nation. while it would take a while to impliment, it would easily pay itself off in the peace it could cause between our cities, and would give well-needed support to our invasions of the Pontiacs, the Selucids, and the Carthaginians. Don't let our nation fall into civil war!
