Default US consulate worker kills 2 Pakistani Citizens

A US consulate worker has killed two Pakistani citizens when he was stopped at a light. However, the story is completely twisted. He was in a car with a fake licence and he had no security with him. Any consulate worker that is foreign has to have police escort but he had none. He says that they were coming to rob him, but there was no weapons found on the body and he ran over the bodies as he left the area. He is currently in jail and on trial. I hope the Pakistani government stays to its course of "no foreign pesure will be tolerated".

I think the law should be fully applied to this person regardless of the nationality.

OP fail. Both men on the motorcycle were armed and the shooter didn't run over anybody. That distinction belongs to another consulate member to tried to drive to his rescue.

The Urdu news stations are reporting that the men were not armed. While I believe the BBC I don't in this case.

One of the dead men's brother said he "carried a pistol for self defence".

It looks like the consulate worker got a little jumpy and got it into his head he was being robbed when he wans't.

Of course, because the Urdu stations wouldn't have an agenda to carry now, would they?

Pakistani investigators have said the two men were probably robbers, although relatives dispute this.

CIA police claimed to have traced criminal record of one of the two youths killed by Davis. SP Umar Virk said that two cellphones recovered from Faizan Haider’s pocket had been snatched in a street crime.

An armed robbery case registered against him with Faisal Town police and another with Gulshan-i-Ravi police had also been traced, he said, adding in the police record Faizan was also known as Umer alias Sanni.
lol, yeah these guys must have been innocent.

Sensationalism trying to drum out some more anti-Americanism. Lots of people get murdered everyday in Pakistan, but they don't make the news. I wonder why this did......hmmm. Furthermore, the guy isn't even a member of the consulate, just some random dude trying to protect himself.

The title is mis-leading, indictaing that a U.S consulate worker killed 2 innocent Pakistani citizens when that is not the case. I saw a story on this earlier. also loving this hate thread.

This reminds me of a time the French refused to waive diplomatic immunity over a parking fine.

He was an American, working for American consulate in Lahore, on some secret mission, according to his account he thought that he was going to be robbed, killed or kidnapped, by two Pakistanis on a main road, full of traffic. His pistol was not licensed and was of legally prohibited type. That's all we know yet.

Edit: Someone said here that Pakistani police has proved one of the murdered persons a robber. Since when Pakistani Police got this reliability for you people? There is a joke about them, Queen Elizabeth lost her dear deer, a squad was made of policemen from Pakistan, Britain, America and some other unimportant countries ( ) , when Pakistani inspector was asked to do investigations, he took one night and the other day Queen and other residents of Buckingham Palace saw an elephant crying, "I am Queen Elizabeth's deer".

That Pakistani police official didn't even need money as bribe to say that, only a phone call would have sufficient. Even Zardari may issue a statement saying that those murdered young men were Osama, Mulla Umar and Aiman-Al Zawahari. This is nothing new in a country rushed with presence of secret officials and bloody war criminals of terrorist states of America. In all this issue I have only a little bit of trust on one institution and that is our judiciary. A little bit.

"I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him - the wonderful man and in my opinion far from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today." No, we also know that the two Pakistanis were armed, had stolen property on them, and at least one of them had a criminal history of armed robbery...
