Ai turns take ages.

Hey there
I run the game just fine everything is smooth and dandy but when i play the campaign and press "new turn" or "next turn" (dont remember the exact name) it takes a looong time for the the Ai players to make their moves.
Waiting 4-5 minutes for the computer to make his moves really gets dull after a while. expecially at the start when i want to build up my empire and when there isnt very much going on.
The problem starts already on turn 1.
Ive tried to decrease the grafics on the campaign map with no luck, and tried to reduce the army sizes to small and no luck.
I tried another faction and its the same deal. Turned off the show ai moves and didnt change anything.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?
And if its just me do you guys have any advice or fix for this problem?

I would defrag your drive. Turn off background tasks. Also do you play the reguler game with out long AI turns?

okay will try that.

Yhea the regulare game dosent take that long time between turns.

Turn down graphics? CoW is a real monster as it eats up your PC.

maybe he use toggle_fow...

or his pc antivirus make smtg

I have that same problem
After a while waiting I use toggle_fow and see AI armies walking from enemy regions to their regions, and that it, they walk no matter what I do (usually after scripted battles)
