Default Question about restricting camera movement

I am using the RTS camera mode. I have the Restrict Camera Movement box checked. I would love to restrict the camera movement even more to just the area around the selected unit. I wonder if this is possible?
Roland searched the continent for the man who'd done him in
He found him in Mombasa in a barroom drinking gin
Roland aimed his Thompson gun - he didn't say a word
But he blew Van Owen's body from there to Johannesburg

Default Re: Question about restricting camera movement

As far as I know only the three in-game camera modes are possible - RTS,TW and General's.

You could ty to zoom in and never touch the zooming after that, it would sort of center the camera around a unit. The drawback is of course that you can't look around properly as the camera is set to aim at the ground.

I am personally a big fan of the generals camera and would really recommend it. Zoom in as much as possible and the field battles become much more enjoyable. I also recommend switching off the mini-map (zoom it in as much as possible to make it practically useless). The feeling of scouting in a dense forest or watching the enemy appear against the sun on a distant ridge is unbeatable. Doesnt work well for siege battles though.
