    Default About getting Kingdoms

Should I get a hard copy of Kingdoms instead of buying through steam? I have a friend that said he has problems with mods working with steam. The main reason I'm getting kingdoms is for the newest Stainless Steel and The Third Age. So the way I see it is if the mods don't work properly then there is no reason to get the steam version. Any of you had problems with steam?

You would have less problems installing that is for sure, I have had very few glitchs or problems and I use the hard copy....

My suggestion is the Hard Copy but its pretty hard to find these days

Well I found a hard copy online from buy.com for 11.22. Or from amazon for 13.52. I think I'll just get a hard copy shipped to me. You guys ever used buy.com? How quickly do they get stuff shipped?

No problems with Steam so far. Been playing it many years now over it.
Tho i also prefer hard copy of any game.

I must admit that I don't really bother with steam games unless there's no other way to get it or it's a serious discount. (This is not due to any hate towards steam, but simply because I hate to have to log onto steam to get my games, and i can't keep the installation files seperate from it)

Ever heard of Gamersgate? It's a download site as well, but unlike steam you don't need to be logged onto the site or anything, and you can keep the installation files once you're done. Anyways, they don't have the kingdoms expansion but they do have the gold edition for 10 euros, might be worth looking into?

I have steam, and the only problem is getting the installer to work, which if you follow TATW's tips on how to fix it, it's very simple. Buy it off Steam if you'd like, I did and installation is quick (1-2 Hours)

I would definitely get the hard copy, but I love messing with the files of a game and doing so is quite a bit harder when a game is on steam instead of entirely on your HDD.
