Default confirmation of arrows sticking: the pic!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote this question to those who went to the san francisco event:
" about arrows: you said they stick in bodies, didn't you?
If yes, when the men die and fall on the ground, did you see if the arrows stayed in the corpse or they disapear? Is there any arrows also that stick on the ground?"

here is the answer of patrizio who went there (thanks to him):

"Even though we played on a medium graphics setting, I saw arrows sticking everywhere. All over the ships, in the ground, in fallen soldiers. I didn't see any disappear while I was looking at them either. "

It's was a long time there was questions about arrows, it's why I made this topic, in order that everybody could be informed of that. Now, we can wait for pics with this feature.

the proof now: (more stay on the ground in high settings)

cool. can we turn that option off though if it slows the game down?

A few questions. Are the archers any good?- Better that Medieval 2? Is the nocking and firing process quicker or slower? Do they shoot volleys or it it more individual?

You'll be able to customize your graphics level quite a bit, just like in Empire and Napoleon. So if you want perma-arrows but don't care about AA, you could do that. This is how it was setup for us, arrows were present but the other settings were dialed back.

From what I saw, archers are stronger than Medieval but slower on the draw and run out of ammo faster. They hold up better in melee, especially the higher level archers. In one MP match, my opponent went archer heavy and devastated my forces. I marched my spearmen against his archers, but by the time they got there and engaged in hand-to-hand their numbers and morale were so depleted that they quickly routed.

Fire arrows are devastating, but this is balanced by putting them on a reload timer. They were extremely powerful in the naval battle, maybe too much so. It only took a single volley to set an enemy ship ablaze.

Awesome news! This just adds more weight to the fact that I need a new PC though.

I think Patrizio just said it's most likely a seperate option, since he was playing on lower settings.

Who would have thought... my hope that the confirmation of the least important feature ever would at last end the discussions about it was premature.
Please everybody, do go on posting "That is great!", the fact that you think so is very relevant.

Oh yes. I think arrows should be more accurate this time though. Like sometimes you would have 1 guy running around on a horse 3 units fire at him. And what they all miss. Arrows should stick into guys but not generally kill them. Also i think if horses are hit by arrows they can die. So you see the horse die and the guy on the horse go flying forward. He mat survive and he may not.

Even if he did survive a fall from a galloping horse, I doubt he would be in any state to continue fighting.
