    Default Why the name?

    Why "Stainless steel"? I mean, I love the mod and all, but I could never figure out why this exact name. Stainless steel was invented early in the 19th century, and has as much to do with this time period as urinals or cubism.

    So, how did it come to this?

    I remember that I just wanted to have a cool Medieval epic strategy game and M2 seemed to be perfect at first, however I recognized soon that it was an old rusty knife which had to be polished and sharpened to be the shining Medieval sword that I wanted. So I tried to do that (metaphoric).

    It could be called "Medieval II Total War Expansion Mod Detailing The Middle Ages - Early Renaissance", but then like a dozen other mods with instantly forgettable names, it would have sank without a trace ages ago.
