    Default Recommended Submods

I cant decide...since most are so incompatible. I am aiming for true to book lore and realism..anyone wanna help me on that one?

FROME seems good but its incompatible with most things. I like the idea of the additional units but I also like things like immortal nazgul and such...the interactive gameplay mod seems nice to adds plenty of depth and realism...

I suggest Baron Samedi's submod, but seeing as you're doing that one I guess you can't use it.

FROME is an excellent mod but I prefer to have less mods installed than more. More usually creates problems and turning too much from vanilla is imo bad.

I agree...I am not necessarily looking for more but rather more realistic or to lore

I would suggest giving FROME a try. It changes the most essential and logical things without nitpicking at the tiny stuff like ancilliaries and traits. It divides the dwarves into two factions by adding the dwarves of ered luin (blue mountain dwarves) with a new roster that looks fantastic. They also reskinned most of the silvan units into the elves of lothlorien and then redid the roster for the silvan elves almost entirely (imo). Then they also added dunland as a new faction which makes playing rohan or eriador a lot more fun now when you don't have to fight constant uruk stacks. Then it adds a few settlements to balance out a little bit and rename a few into better names.

All in all I'm very pleased with the mod especially the factions which was the biggest reason I chose this mod. Introduction of the factions while not tinkering too much with basic vanilla game.
