    Default Kingdoms

    Hi there!
I have a biig problem.I've bought Medieval TW2 long ago and today i got its expansion Kingdoms.Unfortunately i cannot install kingdoms because when i try it says that the base game must be installed or something. I'm hungarian and TW2 is english but the expansion is a hungarian version. Is the version mismatch the problem? The base game is not patched.

It could be a version mismatch - that's the most likely scenario.

Did you buy the Kingdoms upgrade as a stand-alone or is it the Gold edition? There are different problems between the two.

You say that the original game isn't patched at all. That means you're running 1.0. Just in case try installing the 1.2 and then the 1.3 patch for Medieval 2 and then try the Kingdoms upgrade again. Hopefully that will work but if the language packs are giving you problems in the installer then there may not be much you can do.

By the way, where did you buy the Kingdoms game? Is it on a disc or is it a digital download?

    Good luck!

Okay i will try patching the game hope it works.
I've downloaded Kingdoms and it does not have CD1 or CD2 only an image file (iso).First i thought that the game simply can't find the original version, so is there a manual way to find it? The nex thing which came into my mind that the installer is trying to install the expansion onto drive C.However the original game is on drive D, but i don't think that this could be the problem.By the way i appriciate your help.

It could be. The only place I know to download it legally are Direct2Drive. You can from Steam but I think you have to buy both games to do it.

Your problem is that the game is an ISO image. I don't know where your brother got the game but it was probably a torrent site. Digital downloads shouldn't come in that form.

If you don't have a Disc One and Disc Two there is not much you can do but go out and buy the game. The good news is that the game is several years old by now and should be quite inexpensive.

    Good luck!
