Please help I don't know how to fix this!

Hiya guys I am having trouble with my multiplayer and although I briefly scanned through looking for people who had the same problem I didn't find one with either a conclusive answer or not expressed in laymans terms for me to be able to work out how to fix the problem, sorry! I am having the no response from host error message and all I want to do is play with one of my mates and we have no problem connecting on rome total war medieval or xbox live even but for some reason this doesnt work. I opened the ports recommended in one of the posts stickied at the top of the forum but it hasn't worked? any suggestions please cheers and sorry for a seemingly repetative topic!

google HAMACHI or Tunngle both programs are free and will help you get around this issue.

I've downloaded hamatchi. how on earth does it work or how do i use it? very confusing for me, sorry!

get tunngle then much easier to use.

ive never used hamachi much so i cant give you any tips.

by the way, would this require us both to have tuungle for it to work?

now when i try and start up tuungle it just constantly says starting the adaptor, lets me choose my adaptor and then repeats this forever until i quit.
this is becoming too much hassle. i think im going to have to throw in the towel to be honest this is riddiculous
