    Default Game Instability Since Modding Startpos?

    What the title says. Using the latest Darthmod startpos, I have tweaked the file to include Denmark and Portugal as playable factions. They run fine - the problem is what I did next.

    Managed to add an admiralty to Copenhagen earlier today using HusserITW's tutorial - testing shows that the building upgrades fine, looks ok on map and the AI also upgrades it (tested playing as Sweden).

    Problem is; since adding an admiralty the game shows a marked change in stability.

    3 days ago I never had a crash; now they are happening all the time. Its quite random, but there seems to be a particular crash that happens every now and again at the very end of an "end turn". Ill upload my startpos and regions.esf files. Could someone have a look and let me know if theres a problem? Hopefully I can get this sorted =/

    I can only say to you:
    Whenever a problem appear in ESF and canīt be fixed soon, go one step back and do it again. You will mostly never find the failure and sometimes there isnīt any that you have done.
    Use ESF 1.4.3 to get sure itīs not an tool problem.

    If this not work, maybe you should use the other method by downgrading an other city to get your slots for copenhagen.

    Hmm. I'll try redoing the xml files. Only problem is that the xml-esf converter never bloody works properly for me =/

    As i read you used the darthmod campaign. So it will be the best to take it again (the untouched) and then try to make all without xml-esf.

    What are your problems with the converter?

    The version bundled in Esf Total Editor's zip is pretty old, you might want to get a new one from etwng repository.

    There are now command line scripts that automatically and reliably modify xmls for common things like making some factions playable. There's no gui for them yet.

    If you have everything installed you can simply run:

    $ jruby ./esf2xml startpos.esf unpacked_startpos
    $ jruby ./scripts/make_faction_playable unpacked_startpos denmark
    $ jruby ./scripts/make_faction_playable unpacked_startpos venice
    $ jruby ./xml2esf unpacked_startpos new_startpos.esf

    It's as easy as this.
