Quotes.txt & camera issue

1. I tried to copy over the old Roma Surrectum quotes.txt file but the game stopped working , it CTD. Is there a way to change this new quotes.txt file with the old one WITHOUT crashing my game to desktop ? This new quotes.txt file kindda sucks...it's 3 times shorter and many of the quotes have nothing to do with history or quoting thing, to put it mildly.

2. I noticed that If I wander with the camera, when is a siege going, over the top buildings etc I can keep, as long as I don't need to lower it, the height of the camera. Is there a way to have it all the time that way or a fix (a manually one) to allow me to change the height of the camera ?

I have the same interest , looking for a way to increase camera height , so mod people please help us out
