This mode looks great! Best luck !
hum...certainly I will test it when releasing will be...great focus and map anyway
What a fantastic project, best of luck, not including your beloved Poland?........It was a rhetorical question, before anyone says anything, clearly Poland is off map. Also western balkans, do you intend to put 'rebel' Serbs/Croats in that area? Anyway again looks amazing, good luck![]()
The map range does not include western Balkans area. The only provinces that could be considered as Balkan would probably be Srem (under Hungarians), Nisse (under Bulgarian rebels who revolted against ERE in 1040y) and Thesalonica (under ERE).
I'm afraid not. But I consider making an event about Croat - Hungarian union in 1102 which would trigger recruitment of 1-2 Croat units in Hungarian roster.
Yeah I did think about adding Bulgarian faction in 1040 as in that year western Bulgaria rebelled against ERE. But then I thought the rebellion lived shortly and had little chance to survive. I considered also to make Bulgars emerging faction in 1185y, but I came to conclusion that it was to late to be useful for the gameplay. Also there are many mods with Bulgaria so I chose more unique faction instead.
In 1040 not all Bulgaria was under ERE control, this is why I intend to make Nisse a province of rebels.
The title of Volga-Bulgars state will certainly be researched. Do you have any source saying something about that issue?
A good AoR system will certainly be needed and there will be room in it for Danube-Bulgarian units.
I'm glad so many people like the idea but what the project really needs is some good modders that would help me to make that great mod. I hope to start the work on the map files next week, maybe when you modders see some progress you will be more willing to join![]()

"some good modders"
as you said many sources are open, I would be very interested(if you want...) to contribute by irregular ways about the texturing of some units...
BC and Rusichi make your project potientially... easy to done(just with a lot of hours in MS3d and gimp/photoshop)
Are those names suitable for all Turks or for Turks from certain area&period?
Thank you mate, I'm noting your name down and will certainly use your hand in unit creationI will PM you soon with some questions and details.
Yes I think about 3/4 of all units could be borrowed from other projects or made by relatively easy adjustment (little texturing, switching weaponry/helmets). Though about 1/4 units would be quite unique and would require serious modelling/texturing work.
I guess you didn't read the project entry carefullyI did mention about the Rus2 mod there, they have some factions (for example Alans) that would suit to HotS as Rus2 represent similar time frame.
The good thing is that we don't need to ask them for permission because Rusichi team informed earlier that they allow everybody to use their work as long as proper credits are given. This is great attitude of them and of course it will be pure pleasure to me to honour them with credits. Rusichi made plenty nice units that would suit to HotS, like Taiga warriors, Alanian, Volga-Bulgarian, Quman, Kievian etc. It will make HotS mod completion much easier.
Just I had seen some previews about Rus2, I'm not expert in Art...but Rusichi appear to me some more led than Rus2 . For a possible base about the mesh(slavics and altaics), Rusichi would be more "esthetic".

That is of course true but I believe some interesting stuff from Rus2 could be utilised in HotS. I assume there need to be done a great research about what could be borrowed (if received proper permission) from existing mods and what should be done from scratch. This refer mostly to units of course.
Speaking of units creation, I must confess I always wanted to try myself in that job. I'm going to train myself in photoshop (which I already know a bit) and milkshape and than start making the units by myself. I have got some friends skilled in that profession that I think could share some useful tips with me and help me with the beginner problems. But all this after I make the map so the scripting could be started, this is the priority for now.
