How to get outlawed in RTW 1.5

im not sure about something, in patch 1.5 its harder to get outlawed by the sneate, i had 29 provenices and even tried to assainate a sneate member in which the assain died but i couldnt stat the cival war until i had enough popular support

I think you're right. I'm at 161 BC, own about 30 provinces, I'm assasinating other Romans, including Senate members, and the buggers still won't outlaw me!!

I've had these huge armies sitting in Italy waiting to attack the other Romans, but the AI won't let me!

I think you can build popular support by winning battles and conquering cities, but I'm not sure if this is the quickest way to gain popular support. I can't wait to attack the other Romans, but I guess I'll have to.

Another thing I hate about the Senate, other Roman factions can move armies through your territory at will, but if you move one of your armies through another Roman factions land the Senate orders you to get out.

I managed to get outlawed by them when I had assassinated 5+ Senatorial family members. But I still had to get popular support in order to get the civil war started.

I think one way to get them to outlaw you is by not doing any senate missions for a while while building public support, also make sure you assassins fail so that they can identify where the assassin came from.

im guessing that when ur outlawed by the Senate,u can then attack them without favor from the masses? ive never tried that before, mostly because of my conservative gameplay style.

I thought you automatically were at war with the senate when you were outlawed...therefore it would be ok to pull a sulla and march into rome...

thats what i was asking, and i think, based on the previous posts in this thread and other threads, that if u r outlawed, then you can in fact march on Rome.

i find it takes ages no matter what to get the civil war to beging so really you have to assassinate romans

this is why i hate the Roman factions, i hate having some fat old guys to do this and do that for seemingly no gain to myself, its annoyin!

It is, it's also harder to get them to become protectorate; even with all their ports blocked and an offerin of 1,000,000.

I dunno about that. I've gotten parthia to be my protectorate after years of beating them into submission, reducing them to one province that they didnt even start with. Demanded it and they complied as any self-respecting beaten up kingdom
