    Default problem witch icons for mercenary units

    I need some information about icons for mercenary units. I guess, I should copy this icons to the /inits/merc and unit_info/merc folder. So I did it. Unfortunately, when I try to hire this mercenaryunits i can see only peasants icons (standard). What should I do to fix this problem?

    The peasant info card means it can't find the one you changed or added. Have you unpacked your pak files? Is this a new unit or are you just changing the cards for an existing unit? I have done both successfully many times so I can walk you through it if necessary.

    I know, the game cant find proper icons, bu I dont know why. I copied icons to theproper folders, but the game still cant find it. I gave them the same name which have in foltders they come from
    (for example I have changed merc_foederatii_infantry in foederatii_infantry and copied files having the same names to /units/merc and /unit_info/merc folders)

    You havn't told me if you unpacked the UI pak file and moved it into the main data folder and made a blank pak file. If you're seeing peasant cards you must be half way there. Does it show up properly in battle?
    Did you add

    attributes sea_faring, hide_forest, cantabrian_circle, mercenary_unit

    to the attributes line in EDU's? It wont look in the merc folder if that line isn't added.

    If you see the proper skin when looking at the unit and you have mercenary_unit in the attributes line than it's not your text files that are the problem.

    Where is your UI folder? Is it in the main data folder or is it still in your packs folder? If it's in your packs folder it's inert. You have to move the UI folder out into your main data folder for it to work. If you did that all correct I'm not sure whats going on. When I get home if this still isn't resovlved I'll take a look at the BI folders and see if anything has changed from RTW. As far as I know it still works the same.

    I'm not sure but I would try adding to both the merc and mercs folder.

    also...make sure yout tga unit icon is properly named new unit it should be
    #aorsaxon_hunters

    Try to copy/past icon to slave folder as well

    obviously i dont know what im talking about' but i think one of the ui files leads to rtw

    my only evidence of this is a horse i reskined in rtw shows up in bi maybe that has something to do with something?

    Not personally but I'm sure my parents did

    There are some connections in UI between RTW and BI but not when it comes to units

    I always copy/past units icons to Slave folder too since I have that faction enabled in custom battles
