Default How to marry an opponent's princess

Your regular generals can't marry the AI princess only your faction heir or leader(if unmarried)can marry her by sending a diplomat to her.
Although your regular generals can get her if she attempts to steal\seduce him and fails.

If you wanna keep your generals, marry them to one of your own daughters.

Likewise, you can try to get foreign generals by attempting a marriage proposal, but it can backfire, like Ishan said

Oh gotcha, so if an opponent's princess seduces and marries one of my generals then I lose him, so there's really no diplomatic advantage to marry an ally's princess. Another question, how do I get new princesses? I had one at the beginning of the game but she disappeared?

Yes they will belong to that faction from there onwards.

There is, it improves relations between those factions, ofcourse they will eventually backstab you as it's M2TW.

Only daughters of Leaders and heirs are regarded as princesses. They disappear if they get married or are sent to nunnery when they become 45+ etc and still not married by that time.

^ Thanks. Another thing which I'd rather ask here than start a new thread, Where can I get the procedure on how to unlock all factions?

Beserk download mod's for vanilla, as most of them fix the AI or at least attempt to. If you have kingdoms try Stainless Steel or Diplomacy for M2TW

Make changes in it as an administrator and remove the read only option by right clicking on the file and then selecting properties.

There is a noble's quest where General X fell in love with Princess Y, and you have to arrange the merry your girl to the general.
Usually my princesses are not high quality, and the poor general instantly gets the trait: Wife is nasty
