    Default Mode Not Supported

    Hi,

    I have MTW2 gold hooked up to my TV as my monitor and when I start I get error 'mode not supported' - I read i should edit cfg file to change resolution but when i open cfg file all it says is
    [video]
    widescreen=1
    [game]
    allusers=1

    Any ideas?

    You have to start a campaign to get one.

    If you are using Vista or Win 7, have you looked in %appdata%?

    What resolutions does your tv support?

    Others are using tvs for monitors so no reason you can't.

    You have unhide all files and folders in Folder Options first.

    After that in Comptuer, in the search box top- right, type %appdata% and follow it down the tree.

    i think i might have found a way. i think my tv might not support the widescreen aspect of mtw2 but it does support the standard. i cant switch it in game since i cant get in game but im uninstalling/reinstalling and ill see if it gets me in. maybe then i can get a cfg file and go from there.
    theres only empire under my creative assembly appdata. and also when i try to edit the cfg now it wont let me save (its not marked read only) it tells me the path is incorrect but ill deal with that when i get there.

    It's a trick I have not had the money to learn to handle, yet. Good luck.
