Bought Steam version of Medieval Gold 2

I just bought medieval 2 and the expansion and downloaded installed and i try to launch it steam tells me

launching the window closes and nothing happens nothing happens in the processes at all please someone

help me i cant figure out why i posted on support for Steam but they take 3 years to answer anything so i

was hoping someone could help me faster thank you

What are you clicking on?

Tried checking your security/firewall/router to be sure the permissions are set for Steam and Medievl2?

Tried verifying the game cache integrity?

No, It works fine the first time I play the game, but the second, it does the little Steam Box "Playing Steam game...." then the box disappears and nothing. I do ctrl +Alt+delete and its using memory but NOTHING is happening.

I've been trying to fix it for like hours =[

I just validated it and it says 2 files failed or something...
