BC 2.02 wont start up (tried everything)
Hello everyone..
I tried installing BC2.02 onto the steam-version of the game for like 5 times.. it didnt work.. i tried it on every possible way suggested in the many threads out there in the BC forums.. but the problem was ALWAYS the same: BC2.02 wont start after installing.. when i start the exe the black screen comes up (the one usually comes up with bat files) and disappears right away.. and nothing happens..
first i thought steam itself is the problem, so i downloaded a "disc version" of the game (i do own the original one, so this should be legit), but i have still the same problem.. YEAH, my registry is clear, i've uninstalled/installed so many times i stopped counting.. i tried every possible problem, like:
- not installing into program files (i own W7)
- restarting after patching the game and/or installing BC
- modify the game-launcher
- copying and deleting all those string files and data folders
- starting as administartor
- starting in comp. mode
- repair cfg
can anyone help me? i really want to play this mod.. the last 2 days i spent more than 4 hours trying to install it.. and it still doesnt work.. im pretty good with computers and stuff, so im 99% sure i made everything right, so the problem has to be somewhere else..
specs:
windows 7
ati 5850
phenom x4 810
8 gb ram
HELP?
Thanks in advance.

Dear tschief,
Please examine the thread I set up for this problem and post a detailed report about your issue.
