    Hey all,

My first install of 1.4.1 worked great. few random crashes and very few battle map crashes. Nothing major. Then mid-campaign I installed Crimson Tide. I did not make any other changes but started experience a lot of CTDs. Late game (turn 80s), it was appearing every other turn.

Now just made fresh install of COW, without Crimson Tide and its been five battles and about 10 turns, no CTD yet. I even tabbed out accidentally in battle map and it was fine.

I'd suggest a full back of the base CoW files if you plan on installing sub-mods or doing any meddling in general.

For my part, I used only the blood overlay textures from Crimson Tide. (Frost and dirt I find too excessive for CoW, as they obscure the excellent model detail too often)

If you just run the latest Crimson Tide installer it will also mess up all of CoW custom projectile/magic and smoke effects. (They'll even be invisible in most cases)

One other thing, I'm not sure if its messed up from Crimson tide, or if this would just be a good improvement for the mod in general... You know how there's a little splash of red when ever a unit is hit by ranged? Why doesn't this exist in melee? Can someone make it so this happens with every melee deathblow as well?

Yes, I believe this mod lacks blood. The only blood I see is on trolls and giants
