    Icon5 Question about rebelling cities.

Question about rebelling provinces. If a province rebels does the troops in that province rebel aswell as the garrison force in the city of that province?
Im stuck in a posistion where a new concured city is sure to rebel, so im just a bit wary if I should leave a army in the province or move it out so it does not rebel.

Don't think so. Only the garrisons rebel, surrounding legions won't. My naughty little settlement on the Southern tip of Spain just rebelled and my legion next to the city didn't. Oh, and by the way, when you re-conquer that settlement I recommend you to Exterminate the Population and teach those people a lesson, Roman style.

I'm a terrible tyrant that way. I generally exterminate when I first capture the city, just to clean it out and settle it down. It's worth the trade-off of waiting to grow the population later on (for me, at least).

Ok sweet. I was a bit worried that I might lose a legion, which would of really slowed me down. Cheers for the replies.

Some times they will rebel, not always.
