eventually we want to add new units to all factions.
Right now, we're working alot on new unifoms for the major factions and startpos V2,
but we might include 1 or 2 new rosters in 5.0,
and if we do the ottomans are high on the list for a new roster.

Yes, the ottomans are a faction that I have always been hoping to overhaul, and have done a considerable bit of research on (much more difficult than other factions, I actually went to the library ). Also, we now have a fez model, which will make their uniforms much more historical

Oh, and to extend what crossjon says, if all goes according to plan, every nation will recieve a completely new roster

really? ottomans difficult? I think portugal, norway, sweeden, and denmark are alot harder to find info on.

By all means, if you have any info on the ottoman army (its development/tactics throughout the war, its units, or both), please share It would be a great help.

I know all about the ottomans sir king sama!
here you go, first picture is the most common uniform of the ottoman army. notice the hat; this was not a helmet, it is a leather hat.

Next, this is an example of an arab regiment uniform, turbans varried in color, but were mostly red.

junior officers wore a black fez, most of them were covered or wraped in a black fur.

I don't believe fez's were worn by regular troops, if there were any, it would have been a unique unit, i've not yet seen one. they're navy wore fezs though.

Sama, I can provide much info on the ottomans. I believe you, personally would have a much harder time finding specifics on the nations I mentioned in my previous post. I've tried finding elite units for portugal, which I have too. As for norway, sweeden, and denmark... they pose challenges as they were not in the war. I found a few images of a soldier here or there for the scandanavian nations however.

Lets continue in the research thread. Also, on the fez: You're right, the helmet had replaced most fezes by war start for active combat, but 1) the fez was still used by many off-duty and some on-duty, and 2) seeing as the actual ottoman helmet is pretty much impossible to do well on the engine, I'd rather have a somewhat unhistorical helmet than what we have now (which is caps...)

will the team ever get the model converter?
And actually, minus the point on the german helmet, it looks like you could make an ottoman one out of that, and minus the front protusion.
