    Default 2TPY vs. 1TPY questions

I've played just a bit with 2TPY, with the Roman Empire, and I've gotten now in 1106 with the Balkans conquered, with 3 relatively strong armies and I fear that's too much too early. Sincerely, I hope I won't be conquering half of the world before the 4th crusade (whose target is Constantinople).

if someone has been playing 2TPY for a greater number of turns... what do you think I should do: continue using 2TPY or change to 1TPY?

    This is what I'd like:
    - to have time to build buildings and place governors in my settlements (e.g. not to have 10 governors and 100 settlements);
    - to be able to get new new types of warriors (e.g. scholarii) before I conquer half of the world. Actually, to get them faster is better.
    - I also don't like gunpowder.

What do you guys suggest me to do?

Byzantine is extremely strong in early period due to more powerful units than other factions have.
2TPY favors this faction for obvious reasons - you have more turns to develop sttlements, build armies and conquer.

Wage war against all muslim factions and enjoy Jihad. If you are lucky Constantinople will be captured and then Pope may call crusade on your former capital

I'm playing Aragon with 2TPY right now, turn 192, and I'll try to answer your questions.

-Few governors and lot of settlements may happen with 2TPY too.
-afaik scholarii are available for recruiting after 1204 (or a bit later). It's up to you to conquer or not to conquer before this date
-Apparently somebody will come up with brilliant suggestion "don't use them". Still, you play right faction if you don't like gunpowder (try Cumans too ). If you mean you don't want to see any gunpowder units in campaign as long as possible then 2TPY Early Era is your choice.

And if you want new units faster then select 'disable rr'

I did not find "disable rr" in early 2TPY. I'm using MSC 5.03. And, as far as I know, it is incompatible with "disable rr".

yes. You can also make your own 2 tpy and it will be compatible with disable rr.

or I can remove the "require event" thing for unit recruitment for all units... though I think it'll make me feel as if I defile the game.

anyway, I thought MSC 5.0.3 is incompatible with "disable rr" not "2tpy".

That's exactly what disable RR does, but also removes all duplicate entries.

His 2tpy mod changes the same files as disable rr, which is why they aren't compatible.
