    Default merchants

    just a quick question, how and where do i edit merchant acquisitions easier? im probably blind or something but i couldnt find an answer here so gotta ask then..

    or alternatively could someone recommend me a mod that does that and also other stuff that improve my gaming experience? thank you.

    The success rate of merchant acquisitions is related to the 'stars' both merchants have. Nothing you can adjust there.
    You can adjust at what percentage chance an AI will attempt an acquisition, but that's all there is. The file is descr_campaign_db.xml and can be opened with notepad. This is the section:

    alright well where can i find this file? I tried looking for it but couldn't find it anywhere..

    It's in vanilla's data folder (might need to unpack). Duplicate it into your mod's data folder, make changes to that duplicate.

    funny thing, after the unpacking i found the file, edited it, tried to play, battles crashed the game, edited it back, battles still crash the game so now i have to re-install the game. funny..

    You are one of about 2.476 users that didn't read the ReadMe file of the unpacker. In there it is mentioned that you have to delete files to avoid that battle crash, check it out.
