I hardly believe that a global economic collapse is something that will happen soon.

Ohh and a youtube video as the only source isn't exactly convincing.

No, it's not the end of the world, neither a Mad Max type apocalypse. But I can definitely see a Soviet style collapse in the US, and the rest will follow..

    Long live the California Republic!

The US is not going to collapse. Its economically and politically more stable than any other nation (except maybe canada... those little good twoshoes ).
Give me one medium-large sized nation on this planet that is more stable than the US.

Germany, Australia, Benelux(), the Scandinavians()and arguably France and China as well(both have pro and cons over the US).

Scandinavians and benelux are a bit too small, in terms of population and world impact.

OH BOY CHINA is not more stable. What on earth gave you that idea ...

Germany, France, and Australia are the only contenders. Although France maybe not...

In 1800's someone said that if every person would have a carriage, then all streets will be covered in dung. 200 years later the streets are clean.

Virtually any other nation in the world has a better chance of an economic collapse than the US.
Give me one nation whose economy is more stable than the US's.

And also, when he said Soviet style collapse, that involves fracturing politically. Which is simply nonsense.

But that's fundamentally the way the global financial system works. It's all just a cycle of printing more debt and that's the fundamental problem.

But on the other side it masks allot of US habits and once the world might drop the trading in $ it would be truly blow up in their faces. So its an advantage the US still has, but again it kinda masks bad habits and postpones solutions to issues much needing them.

Also the UK is very centralized around London making more than half of its GDP, then the rest of the rural south is very wealthy and conservative, while the urban Labor northern-England, Scotland and Wales are rather poor and truly dependent on money from the south. Even if Brits are a calm people there is only so much division a society can take.

Then the UK is far worse what exports is concerned. Even if the US imports are totally out of control it still sells masses of stuff across the globe. The UK just has a very inflexible economy and inflexible situation overall.

    IMO
Got a pretty good understanding of the UK for a foreigner?

Yep and that is why if it isn't a terrible collapse it will be a slow and tortorous decline.

Im sure we would find cases of bad calls and corruption in the US as well. Though yes, regional level corruption in China is an enourmus problem in its entire history.

It does not make dramatic fluctuations, but just about consistently moves up. People think every recession they experience was worse then the one before... The US has had 48 recessions, this isn't gonna be the one that breaks it.

real unemployment is about 19%... Not 25%
That I never claimed. I said "arguably" having its pro's and cons over the US or everyone else.
