    Default Medeval II launch problems.

    Hello, I recently received Medieval II and it's expansion Kingdoms as a gift from a friend on Steam. However, currently I am unable to play Medieval II as it stops working when I attempt to launch it. The Kingdoms expansions work just fine, though the battles seem much laggier then they ought to be considering I could play Empire relatively well.

    But anyway, whenever I attempt to launch Medieval II, the following error pops up.

    "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

    The system cannot find the file specified."

    Than the following appears under the details screen.

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.
    For example:
    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>
    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    I've checked the forums and have not found a problem similar to my own in the various fixes, so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

    Playing Empire means nothing to this game.

    What operating System?

    I'm not sure what you mean by that, but my computer is running on Windows 7.

    EDIT: Sorry, for some reason I thought you said Operating Steam. Thankfully I still answered the question accidentally.

    In Win 7, virtual store is
    Code:
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming
    , and it's hidden.

    You have to unhide all files ans folders in folder Options to see it.
