    Default morning, noon, afternoon, evening?

How come none of the battles I engage in are at twilight hours or at least afternoon? They all seem to land in the middle of the day. I would like to see some late afternoon battles. Or I would like to see noon turn to late afternoon.

Maybe this was something always that happened in RTW, but I forgot, because I haven't played vanilla in a long time.

I had a battle that lasted so long it started getting darker. The sky and weather cycles, but we haven't adjusted anything there. I know Epistolary Richard had installed Archer's Sky mod and gotten some great screenshots with battles!

Battles were most often started at the beginning of the day, as far as I know, or not too far from it (ambushes and intentional night battles being obvious exceptions). Sometimes battles ran to the night, and the armies disengaged and then either reengaged the next morning or one ran away, but that's something we can't properly represent.

Most of my battles seem to be in the morning (the sun is clearly rising from the east, in other words). I get a few midday/afternoon battles but mostly it's in the morning...

That is accurate, the vast majority of battles should start in the morning.
