desc_character.txt
desc_character.txt file queries
Action functions for characters/agents on the campaign map are listed in this file, eg:
type merchant
actions moving_normal, acquire
Yes they would seem to be self explantory regarding their purpose, but several I find puzzling.
My question is twofold, and having scoured the forums, cannot find any research in this area:
1) What is the difference between the functions; 'moving_normal' and 'moving_quickmarch' for named_characters?
What distinguishing impact do these two functions have on character actions/movement on the campaign map ? I have tested this by removing each and comparing to discern, but it's difficult to conclude anything. I feel like I've missed something blindlingly obvious here so what is it?
2) What is the function of the 'garrison' command? It does not simply mean that the character can enter settlements because all characters can enter settlements -regardless of the function. Neither does it qualify the character as a governor- this I assume is hardcoded to named characters only. Again what have I missed here?
Any useful comments/help/links on the matter much appreciated !!
