    Default Masons Guild bug/feature (SS6.4)

    I built the Master Mason's Guild in Kalmar (A Fortress) and subsequently they offered me a gift - they had build a place of worship for me.
    Kalmar had already maxed out the Chapel(Castle churches) line of buildings, and the one they had built for me was a Small Church(City line). This means I'm now able to fully upgrade this building line, so Kalmar both have Churches and Chapels at the same time.
    Is this the way it's supposed to behave? If so, is it possible to have other building-trees offered than the churches? I.e Could I get a Castle Style archery range in a City? Do they only offer such gifts in the town with the Masons Guild or could they place them in another town?(probably not)
    Either way, I'm certainly not complaining. That extra health bonus from the Abbey I'm currently building are very welcome!

    Have you installed any sub mods etc?

    Nope.
    Only did some small editing myself (swapping some unit skins, changing faction minimap borders and such)

    Nope according to the files there is no such thing present.
    What gift part etc you are talking about i didn't get that.

    Just like when you get the message "The Council have given you a gift of 1000 Florins", you get when you start your turn, I got a message that the Masons Guild "are happy for your support, and have give you a place of worship".

    Yes i checked that's intentional and the funny side is it's in vanilla too.
    Thanks you taught me something & shocked that i never saw this in vanilla solely due to the reason i didn't persuaded in making a mason guild.

    Ah, that's great! Since you've checked the scripts, do you know if it always will be churches or if it's a randomly chosen building? What if you get it in a City, which already have the Churches built?

    What's more, i can script new missions for other guilds that would build buildings.

    I have also gotten this church gift event... so now I have a cathedral in Caen that is a new place for worship for my English Knights

    Be nice to get Cathedrals in some castles like Caen for example. But I dont know if I would waste a castle on the Masons guild. By the time I get offered one I pretty much got most of the things built that it decreases the cost on.

    agreed... I got it because I usually don't get masons guild and when Caen was offered it I took it due to the fact that I already had six castles with Swordsman/horsebreeder/archers guild... It would be much better to have it in, say Vilnius after a crusade there and the land swarms with pagan priests...

    One reason one could want a cathedral in a castle is to help growth. Since 6.4 have made it much harder to get Huge Cities and Citadels, it could help push the population high enough to gain said Citadel. Once built, the Masons Guild could perhaps be demolished in order to gain a more useful guild.

    Well, if you upgrade your reward to a cathedral, you'll already need to have a citadel to build it.
    An abbey will give you maybe half a %
