Default Books on plantlife and what not.

So I've recently developed an interest in plant life after a few walks through some woods near my house. I saw a lot of cool looking plants, and I'd like to learn more about plant life and botany and all that jazz. Any recommendations on books that cover this stuff? I have no background at all in this area btw.

    Thanks in advance!

If you want the basics of what is what, get one that is particular to the area where you live. Otherwise, you're just hauling around information on a bunch of species you won't be likely to see. Never had to find such a book myself, but if you can't find it at a regular retail bookstore try a university bookstore.

May I ask where you live? It doesn't have to be too specific lol, just the general geographic area. It will be easier for me to recommend you a book that way. Botany is a fascinating science indeed.
