    Default Settlement Labels Not Showing

    About a week or so ago, I reinstalled MTW2 and Kingdoms from my Direct2Drive purchase, then patched to version 1.5.

    Well, prior to Kingdoms and the 1.5 patch, all my settlement names/labels were showing on the campaign map, and all character names would only show when highlighted. After the expansion and patch, the character names are always shown and the only way to see the settlement names is to hover my mouse cursor over the settlement. It doesn't really affect gameplay, but it is annoying to have six characters outside my capital and not being able to click on it without zooming in because of the names.

    You can set those in the medieval2.preferences.cfg. Set it read-only when done so the the game does not undo your work.

    This is all my medieval2.preference.cfg is showing:

    Code:
    [video]
    widescreen=0
    [game]
    allusers=1
    I read that starting a campaign should fix this, but I'm already running one as Venice and it hasn't changed.

    EDIT

    Found the correct preferences file in my AppData folder....freaking Vista....

    Okay...got it fixed. Thanks.
