I was thinking about making a submod that would add ww1 pics and paintings as well as different music for those who like era music, if the team is ok with that

I am, and I'm sure others are as well. And you should know how long I've wanted a sub-mod community for TGW, so go ahead

Nice pics cassador, but they need to be large enough to fit a computer screen. Just for the future, when looking for loading screens I used google settings to set the size to large.

I don't know how to put them on the posted message itself.

If your discussing including paintings, then this I think should be included....

    http://www.belfastsomme.com/hertiage_painting.htm
Its Beadle's painting of the 36th Ulster Division "going over the top" on the 1st July 1916.

Maybe for elite units.....you could include a 36th Ulster Divison, 16th Irish Division .
Coming from Northern Ireland the First World War is almost more important to us than the Second World War. Not to play down the Second World War, it was what it was, but the First World War has been highly romanticised in this part of the world because of the contribution both sides made.

Also through my own book collection, Richard Holmes "Shots From the Front" and your on a winner, its all photographs but they bring the humanity of the war into focus, it would be a nice touch to the mod, something I don't think other mods have the ability to do.

    Eagerly awaiting the next release!!!

If we are on the topic of famous WW1 photos, this is one of the more well know ones, taken in 1916 on the first day of the Somme.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
