Not possible to change the bodyguard of a character once the game starts, that I know.
I changed Boromir bodyguard when I made the fellowship of the ring campaign, so it fits better to the units of legolas (mirkwood rangers), aragorn (rangers of the north), etc. It used to be citadel guards.
Also, because Boromir starts at the ambush of Rauros, and it makes more sense to find there gondor rangers than citadel guards.

Bardo, in the LOTR lore it clearly states Boromir's Captain of the White Tower, not Captain of the Rangers. It would make more sense for him to have Citadel Guards for bodyguards (like in TATW) as he is leader of the Citadel Guards, not the Rangers.
The rangers are for Faramir.
You are right, but in lotr lore, Boromir is dead during the war of the ring. We included it only for the fellowship campaign, where rangers make more sense in my opinion.
There are 2 boromir versions in game, I guess we can give citadel guards to the gondor version, I think wlesmana did also like more that way.
You can change it by youself, search for this text in descr_strat:

There are a lot of boromirs in the games right?
If you are controling a faction that should have him (or the fellowship) the others are killed right?
If so maybe you could make gondor's boromir with citadel guards
I may be wrong as I don't play this mod for a while and now i'm waiting for the new release...
Do you know the problem with the Iraqi army? They were using Russian defense tactics:
1. Engage the enemy. -
2. Draw him into your territory. -
3. Wait until winter sets in. -
You could always delve deep into the descr_strat.txt file and change it.
There's always a way with descr_strat.
i have tried to change that in descr_strat and than when i lucnh the game i get CTD...maybe im doing something wrong idk...
and than again i agree with bardo...
but... i think that gimli should have enforcers ( 2hand unit, dunno right name) cuz he uses 2hand wep...and old guards r little op![]()
