Corsico Sardinian Infantry is not a pure missile troop...they use their arches when they are in distance but do fairly well in melee...so they have to be considered as sort of "arch armed infantry"......

that happens sometimes when people are trilingue...mixed if from the spanish arco which is arche and bow too...somehow I connected arco = arche
funny enough thogh that english syntax is absurd on this matter as archers are indeed bowmen so the base "arch"="bow" should be valuable
Corsico-sardinians are almost like archer-spearmen, just more of swordsmen then spearmen. They are a veryyyy effective tool for any army, they make great additions to a Syracusan army. The trick is to not treat them like archers when they run out of ammo. If theres a small breach in the line, and they have no more arrows left...send them in and theyll fare pretty well (obviously dont put them against true heavy infantry)
