Marius Reforms
Has anyone actually made it to the Marius Reforms? I been playing on and off for months and I am shocked at how difficult it is to get the reforms. I need to build an imperial palace in every starting city of Carthage!? Couldnt it be just their main cities off the coast line? This requires so many turns! And the damned carthaginians are rebellious. I've had to execute most of the population, sometimes more than once in just one city, just to keep them in line.
I'm ready for the cool looking imperial legion troops with the shiny armor and the testudo formation.

Re: Marius Reforms
Testudo aint that great formation.
And its not that hard to make it to the reforms. You need to play smart and use every possible advantage. Sometimes, its worth to enslave the population to have cities with more folks. Or recruit peasants and ferry them to places you need. Works as charm as well. And trust me, its nothing. In 6.4, the building time for imperial palace was what, 40 turns or so?
