    Hey, I've recently added 2 .pack files, 1 of them being ETF v2.7 and the other a sound effects mod to the data file. I also installed mod manager v1.5 but whenever I try to start the game using the mod manager the mods don't show up even though they're in the data file. I think it has to do with the error I get whenever I start the mod manager saying: Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

    Could not load file or assembly 'Common, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

    Then it gives me the option to scroll down "details" which is always blank, continue, or quit. And when I always search for the file on the program it can't find anything, Any help on this matter would be very much appreciated.

    Have you unselected "show all pack types" and selected "show vanilla conflicts"?

    *facepalm* That worked, thanks
    So I add the "somemod.pack" to the end of the filename?

    You add the packs in the order you want them to load.

    So I put the files I downloaded into the scripts folder?
    EDIT: Hang on, the only file in the scripts folder is called "preferences.empire_script.txt". Is that the right one?
    EDIT 2: Nevermind, I worked it out. The .pack files go in the script folder, yes?

    No, you put the packs in the data folder that is in the game directory, after that you go and open the script file and add the name of the packs to it.

    E.g: I've downloaded two mods:
    Moreunits.pack
    Evenmoreunits.pack

    You go and add to the script file:

    mod Moreunits.pack;
    mod Evenmoreunits.pack;

    Anyway this gives some work and I don't know why I posted this way, there is a much easier way, search for Mod Manager in the forum, it is a tool that will do the script work for you.

    i have downloaded Modmanager and it works, but problem is that i also downloaded a mod named proper militia mod v1.3 and i cant see it in modmanager. I tried alot of things like extractting files placeing them in the gamefolders also searched on google for answers and it told me that for a mod i will need winrar and i am wondering if thats really needed to make that damn mode working and visible on modmanager so i can enable it.

    anyone can help? I played Imperial Splendour mod, and I noticed that they manage to create a mod folder for the game, now I'm trying to make my own mod folder and create my own launcher, they use a batch file to load all the mods automatically in the game data, and also a batch file to automatically unload the game when the game is not running. Now I'm trying to replicate that way of loading mods faster, and more neatly for the data folder. anyone can help me? or am I not clear? hehe
