not weather, but terrain,
in the teutonic campagin i had a stack seiging control of the last remaining lithuanian wsettlement which was built like a maze on a hill,
they had mostly archers,
so as you can guess, i suffered much casualties cus i had all pikemen
results i lost 600 men, with only 100 remaining, while the enemy lost 170 out of 400
holy moly thats the worst ive ever seen.
ive never had fog/rain that bad but the worst battle i had to play like that was ages ago in a campgain as england. i was attacking the danish because they were getting all up in my territory and doing annoying things with their armies.
when i got on the battle map it was 95% covered in trees. i couldnt see a damn thing even with pressing the unit highlight button, i had to keep pausing and zooming in all the time to work out what the hell was going on. plus denmark has lots of nasty units which made it a whole lot worse. i was so glad when that war was over![]()
In the year of Four Kings, Rothgar and Wulfric were laid to rest.
Heroes in the war against the Moorwens.
And Kainan, once a stranger to us, became king.
He took for himself a wife and a boy, who became as his own son.
But only I knew his secret.
That the gods had sent us Kainan.
And when it came time to return to them...
...he chose to stay with us instead.
it might have been cus im playing ss6.3 but i gave up simply cus i could not see i thing.holy moly thats the worst ive ever seen.

You could always adjust the vegetation detail to low, or try to draw them to coastal regions.
But what really bugs me is when the defending AI near mountainous regions flees up to a precipitous ledge on a far end of the map, and the enemy soldiers cannot possibly be standing upright given the steep nature of the ledge. And I have to pause my forces a few times so they can rest and go back to "fresh" status. It's easier to constantly attack and force the AI to fall back on the campaign map than to actually fight the AI.
That weather is not that bad.
I´ve had battles in those conditions too. You can handle it by zooming in, and pausing a lot to check up on where everybody is.
And I agree that terrain is a far greater annoyance in field battles than weather. Especially near mountains - great if you´re defending, freaking impossible if you´re attacking. My beloved Batteries are useless, because the cannons can´t aim when the enemy is so high up...
