    Default Campaign Difficulty Question

    Hi,
I need your advise. At the moment I play a Early Era Campaign (6.4) with the holy Roman Empire at VH/VH.
I'm currently at turn 70 and every turn is much of stress (10-30 min every turn).
All in all I like the difficulty, because I never felt myself overpowered so far. But there is something that really annoys me. No matter how hard I try, the enemy always have better or equal upgraded units. It would be nice, if there are some battles I have the superior troops (better armor, higher tier, etc).

My Question is: What is the difference between the campaign difficulty levels? Will playing on hard solve my problem or will I be an unbeatable power after ~50 rounds?

    Thanks in advance.

They get more money based on campaign difficulty, and also generals get better stats.

The only way you are going to get better troops is to disable RR in setup. With RR on, you have to wait until a certain year before better troops can be trained.

To clarify, the AI has to follow the rules for getting better troops as well.
It really depends on how you manage your economy and different aspects of your Faction, when it comes to how well you can compete upgrade/tech wise with the AI.

I personally find myself getting the advanced troops at a comparable rate that they do, and sometimes sooner.

I'm playing HRE VH/VH early campaign and on turn 10 rebels got feudal knights. So are rebels excluded for these rules?

No idea what the changes are exactly. I go for H/VH most of the time, because my feeling says that the AI diplomacy is a bit more reasonable on hard. Thereīs of course a (very small) difference in the money the AI gets - so they will recruit slighty less troops on hard.

btw: 10-30 min per turn are very fast. I need 10 min - 1 hour for a battle and if there are 5 or 6 in one turn... Sometimes i need two days for one turn.

Yeah, otherwise they would be too weak later on, when they'd spawn with early units and you'd have much stronger ones.

Im not sure if ive done something totaly right or this is a mistake. But i played with grym reality and was enjoying it, until i had about 2 turns with 500ish money and then it kept going down into negatives again and i couldnt build anything for ages. So decided to play as France without grym reality. Well, now i cant seem to spend the money quick enough- im on turn 20 or something and im ending turns with 11,000! I mean, is 6.4 not playable with bygs grim reality because of them sapping all that money etc? It just seems that i have far too much money and continuing to play like this feels like im cheating and makes it a bit boring.

I managed a slowly productive game with BGR, but the fact i'd go so long sometimes without being able to do anything kinda ruined the game for me. One more question is the default 1TPY? And if so, is it possible to change to 2 TPY and have it save compatible? Dont want to start AGAIN on 6.4.

You must start a new game.
