Translations

For now, only the french translation is available, because our team is almost french.

Because we have been sometimes tired to see all the good mods in english, we now thing about all the players who would prefer to play in their mother language than english.

So we are ready to help the translators (spanish, german or anything else) if some volunteers exist. We know where and what has to be changed.

Since there aren't many files yet, I can try to do an Italian translation, to better advertise your mod out of the TWC. Just tell me what I have to translate.

So first you have to possess all the texts files use in SCW in italian (look at the data/text folder). Be sure you have the KG version if a KG version of the file exist.
Concerning the detailled changes, I'll send you a mp.

I downloaded the main installer and half of the unit descriptions on the battlefield, and all in the custom battle screen, were in French. Is this normal or do I need some sort of English patch?

Sadly, the actual version is not totally english. We don't know when we will release the future versions, but they will be 100% english.

I already translated everything you can read in a battle and unites names and their descriptions. I also want to translate the menu ( Single player, Continue Campaing, Multiplayer, Options, Quit..etc) but I can't find it anywhere. In wich .txt is located?

Found it, it's on "menu_english.txt", I'm feeling so silly right now hehe. Sorry, next time I'll look better before ask!

Why would the French play the U.S Civil War? -.-
And why are there French translations for a mod that's already in French? Add the most common language please- U.S English.

You before being insulting start to read.

The mod was done in french. Some people made a spanish translation, but nobody made an english one and devs doesn't have time to do one. So there is no available english translation. English is maybe the most "common" language but surely not the only one.

I'm sorry, but that's an extremely stupid question. Why would Americans want to play as the Turks? Or the Romans? Or the Spanish? Or the Holy Roman Empire? By your logic, Americans should only play games about Americans and Frenchmen should only play games about Frenchmen. Do you realize how stupid that is?
