CA, any news of the tools?

Tools have been announced, so...When will we have them? (don't answer soon please), and what will be inside, what will be abble to do with them?

It's a long time now, they have been announced, I think time has come to have more consistent news.

My friend Panzerschreck is right here. I don't want to whine or sound complainful, but you've promised them (and I hope you'll stick to your word) so at least give us an indication wether it will be this half of 2011 or next half?

Nice to see this issue keeps popping up, nice to let CA know what we were promised. However I really doubt we will hear anything before Shogun's release, and depending on its stability it may be some time after. One day though I'm sure, one day soon.

Personally I think CA might be trying to just keep parrying questions about releasing them until they get Shogun 2 out to distract everybody...

Late februari? I think that's a bit too optimistic. If it happens this first half of 2011 my guess is may or june.

I'm still not convinced that there will be any tools even if they did announce them. I will believe it when i see it and then maybe CA can start re-building some of my trust in them.

Whats the problem with them.. Lets have those tools before we get bored to death.

They'll probably give them when many people went to shogun (IF they give them at all)
To boost the popularity of Napoleon and so making more money out of the game.

Lol... amusing how people ask in hope. They said Empire was getting mod tools and a uniform editor when Napoleon was upon us. Don't hold your breath guys.

Did they announce a map editor? if so i dont see what all the fuss is about as units can be editted anyways?

They promiss it since Empire ,and you still believe?They never realize any relevant mod tool or any documentation that allow moders to do any total conversion of the game, you will never see a ancient or medieval era mod based in empire or napoleon game. They lie to sell.

No news since 10-22-2010. I strongly believe that people who care about modding CA's gunpowder-era games should postpone purchasing Shogun 2 until CA moves forward on this front.

Its definitely about time we had some news of this or indeed of anything to do with NTW from CA!

They said the first quarter of this year thus that would be up until end of March so i would expect the tools after they have got their priority of Shogun out of the way, understandable considering they are running a business and need to make money.Moan about them if nothing happens after March i know i will be until then i sit in anticipation

Edit: or rather first half serves me right for not reading it correctly, i wait in anticipation until June instead

If we get tools I will be willing to purchase Shogun 2.
