Does the improved_hide_forest attribute actually do anything? I tried it and it just says "expert at hiding it woods" but does it actually have additional effects? I think in RTW this was the can hide in tall grass attribute right?

1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....
This would need testing - only additional effect I think of would be a reduction in the distance the unit will be detected in the woods or a faster movement rate in the woods.
Else it could be a simple dud, just a defaulting to the regular hide in the woods attribute.
A simple thing would be that if any vanilla unit has it by default then i doubt CA will put it for no reason.
Yeah i trust CA.![]()
well, I checked... 3 units in vanilla has that trait ... but 2 of them also has hide_anywhere o_O ... the only one that has only that is the sherwood archers..

I'm sure it has a difference since hide anywhere clearly works.![]()
Yes, hides sooner, gets found later, as you'd expect really given the name.
No, it's as described.
No, you can still use that too.
One thing to note; the attributes list will only show one of the 3 special hiding abilities.
One other small thing to note; it only takes 5 mins to test and discover all this (the effect is obvious).
